Welcome to The Hitherfield Breakfast and Afterschool Club (BASC). My name is Derek and I’ve had the honour and pleasure to have managed the club since its inception in 2010. 

 

In my role as the manager, I’m not based in any one club, but rather spend time in each of the three clubs across the school. The BASC is a vibrant, diverse, inclusive, welcoming extension of the Hitherfield community. Our team’s aim is to ensure that the children entrusted to our care feel safe and have fun. We also want them to experience a wide range of supervised activities which take place both indoors and outdoors within the school site.

BASC Charges

 

Breakfast Club for Nursery to Year 6 - £9.00 per session

Afterschool Club Nursery to Year 6 - £16.00 per session

At Hitherfield we run both Breakfast and Afterschool Clubs. The clubs are separated into three groups; Nursery (Based in the Nursery/Children’s Centre building), Reception and Year 1 (Based in the Reception Hall), and Years 2 to 6 (Based in the Main Hall). We also make use of the school’s wonderful outside spaces. Please note that Koala Class Breakfast and Afternoon Club sessions are held in The Children's Centre Mondays to Thursdays, and in the Infant Hall on Fridays.

Breakfast Club operates from 7:45am to 9am (or to 9:15am for Nursery children) and the Afterschool Club operates from 3:30pm (or from 3:15pm for Nursery children) to 6pm. Parents/carers can drop off and collect at any time, but need to be mindful of mealtimes. Please note that children are brought to the Main School Office at 5.50pm for collection by their adult or carer.

 

Nursery BASC

The Nursery BASC operates in the Nursery and Children’s Centre building. The room lead is Deleesha with support from Jane, Mugeera and Fran

      

The Reception and Year 1 BASC operates in the Reception Hall of the Reception Building. The room lead is Paige with support from Anna, Ornella, Jennifer, Rebekah, Fiona and Monika.

The Years 2,3,4,5 and 6 BASC operates in the Main Hall of the Main School Building. The room lead is Nicole with support from Noah, Naryman, Aga, Salma and Andrea.

Children attending these clubs have meals prepared in our on-site kitchen.

All play workers supervising these clubs are directly employed by the school.
